Bronwyn and Andreas live in Montreal with their three beautiful boys, Max, Finn and Oliver. The boys spend many hours playing, running and learning the tricks of the trade at the bakery. Most of the time they are covered in flour with big smiles on their faces ready to welcome clients!

Bretzel & Compagnie is the latest venture by the family team of Andreas and Bronwyn. They are the duo behind the chic and successful neighbourhood bakery, Dolce Vita Bakery in East End Montreal.

Andreas is a talented baker with over 20 years in the industry, who is passionate about using the finest and freshest, quality ingredients to create his hand-made breads, pastries and pretzels. Bronwyn is a talented business woman and entrepreneur with an ongoing love affair for fashion and design. They put their respective skills together and in 2008 opened the Dolce Vita Bakery, a stylish and welcoming space where people can come in for their daily breads and sweets, but linger over a fresh latte and good conversation.

In 2011, following the success of Dolce Vita Bakery and capitalizing on the popularity of their tasty, hand-rolled, oven baked pretzels, Andreas and Bronwyn decided to expand and grow their business. After logging many long days and late nights in their test kitchen experimenting with unique and scrumptious flavour combinations, Andreas and Bronwyn launched their spin-off business, Bretzel & Compagnie. Offering Montreal’s only authentic Bavarian-style soft pretzel, Bretzel & Compagnie provides both traditional and gourmet flavours that can be delivered fresh to your home, office or event.

The pretzel recipe used by Bretzel & Compagnie is a traditional Bavarian recipe, generations old, perfected by Andreas’ mother in Germany, and brought with her to Canada when she immigrated in the early 60’s. In fact, while growing up, Andreas snacked on pretzels and mustard while the other kids snacked on chips and popcorn. Little did he know that these delicious Bavarian treats would play such an important role in his future.
